You’re Not Here
My longing is laced with sadness,
Infused with despair.
I have such a strong desire,
A need to touch you, to hold you,
To confide in you,
To hear you laugh and say my name.
Your absence fills my days
And haunts my nights.
What I wouldn’t give to have you here,
With me, beside me, around me.
I’ve never been so profoundly sad,
Nor so profoundly lonely
As I am right now,
Because you’re not here.
